MONDAY WITH JANE

This was a field of sesame I think. Whatever it was, it was beautiful. My dear friend Jane and I met and got right to work. We paint and take a break then get back to work. Jane and I have been dear friends and neighbors since age 3. We have come a long way from our mud pies and plays that we made up and performed for neighbors when we were maybe 6 years old. We went from kindergarten to the beginning of college together. Now we paint together. Being with her and painting seems so natural and joyous.

FIRST BLOSSOM

THIS IS THE FIRST PEAR BLOSSOM I PAINTED THIS YEAR. IT IS ALWAYS THE HARDEST ONE. THE SEASON IS SO SHORT AND THE PAINTING IS SO HARD. I WAS SURPRISED THAT THIS ONE TURNED OUT SO WELL.
